Description
Although the base matches SW10a, the mouldings on this example are much more flat on all four sides and less expertly executed. The incomplete state of the lowermost torus, with chisel marks visible at the point at which the torus meets the plinth, indicates that the base was erected in an unfinished state. Marks of the tooth chisel are present over much of the surface of the plinth and lowermost torus. Setting lines are also visible on the south face of the plinth.
