Description
This base matches the standard typology of other late antique Attic-Ionic bases within the Place of Palms, featuring a simple succession of roughly equal proportions allocated to the plinth, torus, scotia, and upper torus. All mouldings are simple, and there is little volumetric rendering beyond the square shape of the block. Heavy tooth chisel marks remain on all sides of the plinth, with some evidence also on the lower torus.
