Description
Partially fluted; composed of three drums. The second drum is partially fluted, with fillets that end in a u-shaped moulding. Cuttings for hanging a device of some sort can be found 0.18 cm up the third drum.
Over the unfluted sections of the lower drum (Drum 1), evidence of the tooth chisel remains as a prominent surface texture over the whole of the block, with its strokes applied in vertical lines up to about 30 cm above the apophyge, after which the technique changes and its strokes are applied in short horizontal lines for the remainder of the block.
The column is reconstructed in the South Stoa, although the reliability of reconstruction is not confirmed.
